During the months that I am at home in Maryland, I find myself painting the C&O Canal, the red boats at Fletcher's Boat House and flowers. I love walking along the Canal in all weather and in all seasons. The Herons grace me with their presence on many of my visits. While walking I have cleared my head, opened my heart, solved problems and had intimate conversations. It is a very special place for me, continually bringing new inspiration to my work. The colors and the shapes of the boats at Fletchers satisfy a deep sense of design. And flowers in the garden, farmers' market or grocery store always surprise and delight my visual sensibilities. Plus they are available throughout the entire year.
